About

Bláha Architecture + Design
Bláha Architecture + Design is an interdisciplinary design studio based in The Hague. The practice was founded by Annemieke Bláha in 2014 and within a short space of time has developed a distinctive style that often blends new and existing to create contextual, contemporary architecture that is designed to welcome and enhance modern living.

We are a small practice with a huge passion for what we do. We work at all scales; from ceramics, furniture, lighting design and interiors to conversions, extensions, restorations and new builds. We work mostly on private homes and apartments, but also on properties for investment. Being small means that we offer a personal approach to our clients. We collaborate with a network of architects, contractors, engineers, designers and other specialists to ensure the highest quality and most interesting, appropriate response to briefs.

We search for a simple, natural architecture and love authentic materials, textures, daylight, generous spaces and letting beautiful details and existing buildings speak for themselves. We like new and old to sit side by side, contrasting and complementing each other. Our work has gained dedicated clients and been published extensively internationally.

We are always looking for new opportunities and collaborations, and look forward to hearing from you.
